On the heels of receiving the Republican endorsement this interview was my first time on 100.7 since announcing. My opponent, Bob Cardillo, was on the air just prior to me, and chose to make false claims about what I do for a living, how the Republican committee selected it’s ticket, and how I will proceed when elected Mayor.
This gave me a great opportunity to stay focused and get down to the content and quality needed to be the Mayor – and outline how my experience as Council President, and the reality that I’ve had to bear the responsibility of being the Mayor, since elected.
Every other candidate has been preparing to run for Mayor. I’ve been preparing myself to be the Mayor.
Taking my private experience and my relevant understanding of the state of the city into account, I outline how I plan to manage the departments, set the policy of the administration, and create a roadmap for the city so that we can improve how we deliver our city services and create a better working machine for the people.
