This is a discussion on the “complete streets” proposal. Dealing with both my role as Council President, but as a current candidate as Mayor, discussing the process we could have taken, the lack of process that actually took place, and how the city decided to interact with the community.

Putting the context of the Genesee St road diet trial aside, this video is raw, and points out many points of what need to be changed when I take on the role of Mayor.
Communication with the people. Communication within the departments. Collaboration between the council and the Mayor. Most importantly accountability in the actions of our elected officials, and a responsibility to work together for the community.
